Project Description

This 120km scenic drive along the Andøya Peninsula takes around 2 hours each way. Whales and sea eagles are often spotted and there will be opportunities to stop and take photos of the view, including a lighthouse and huge stretches of rugged coastline.

Spaceship Aurora, based at Andøya Rocket Range, is an interactive education centre where you will learn about the science of the Aurora Borealis. With a Northern Lights film, exhibitions and a small shop for buying space/aurora related goodies this is a great fun day out for children and adults alike.

This is real rocket science! Where actual rockets are launched for atmospheric monitoring.
